(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting that occurred on January 27th on Mayflower Drive. According to authorities, a juvenile has been taken into custody and is facing charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon.
The arrest was made on January 28th with the assistance of the Mexico Public Safety Department. The juvenile was located in Mexico, Missouri, and taken into custody without incident.
This comes after two other arrests were made in connection with the shooting. On January 27th, Ataveon Gordon, 18, and Jared Britt Jr., 18, both of Columbia, were arrested for first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
The incident occurred around 9:42 a.m. when Columbia Police responded to a disturbance in the area of Providence Road and Nebraska Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Further investigation revealed that the shooting took place in the 2600 block of Mayflower Drive. The case is still ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact the Columbia Police Department or CrimeStoppers to provide information anonymously.
CrimeStoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for any information that leads to an arrest in this case. The case number is 2025-000706.

On January 27th, it was reported that two suspects had been arrested following the shooting on Mayflower Drive. Prior to that, on January 27th, it was announced that Columbia Police were investigating the shooting on Mayflower Drive.
