~ Starting Wednesday, December 11, 2024, residents of St. Louis will no longer be able to utilize roll-carts for yard waste collection. The service will resume on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. This change is part of the city's efforts to improve waste management and promote sustainable practices.
In addition, alley yard waste collection will also be discontinued on Thursday, December 12 and Friday, December 13, 2024. However, weekly collection in alleys will resume on Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14, 2025.
For more information and convenient reference on these changes and other refuse-related matters such as remodeling and renovation, illegal dumping, bulky items (batteries, oil appliances, tires), yard waste and Christmas trees, and recycling; residents can visit the Refuse Division website. The website also provides answers to frequently asked questions.
