~ St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) hosted an Industry Day Event today, inviting interested parties to learn more about the Consolidated Terminal Program (CTP). The event was attended by various individuals and businesses who were eager to gain insight into the airport's plans for transforming its passenger terminal facilities.
According to Airport Director and CEO Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, the CTP is a crucial step towards meeting the needs of customers and preparing for future demand. The program aims to combine the existing two passenger terminals, along with the isolated Federal Inspection Services facility, into a single terminal. This consolidation will not only improve the overall passenger experience but also ensure efficient operations at STL.
One of the main objectives of the CTP is to centralize Transportation Security Administration (TSA) passenger screening areas into a larger primary location. This will result in a smoother screening process for passengers, making their travel experience more convenient.

During today's event, attendees were provided with information about the timeline for the Consolidated Terminal Program and given insights into potential business opportunities. They also had the opportunity to learn about becoming certified through STL's Business Diversity Development (BDD) Office and participate in exclusive networking sessions.
With an expected annual passenger count of 21 million by 2040, STL is preparing for significant growth. To accommodate this increase in passengers, up to 17 additional gates will be required. These gates will need to be suitable for modern, larger aircrafts. Additionally, all carriers should have access to immigration and customs services at the airport. To support these developments, STL will also need a new large parking garage and improved roadways.
The Industry Day Event marks an important step in bringing together stakeholders and initiating collaboration for the successful implementation of the Consolidated Terminal Program at STL. With this program in place, St. Louis Lambert International Airport is well on its way towards providing a world-class travel experience for its passengers.
