~ The Jones Administration of St. Louis has announced that all American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds have been obligated before the December 31, 2024 deadline. Mayor Tishaura O. Jones expressed her gratitude to the Board of Aldermen for their assistance in allocating these funds and ensuring they have a lasting impact on the lives of every St. Louis resident. The City of St. Louis launched the Stronger STL website in early 2024, providing residents with a first-hand look into projects being funded by ARPA funds. Additionally, the City released the 2024 ARPA Annual Evaluation Report to determine the impact of these funds on addressing COVID-19's disproportionate effects and long-term consequences of historic disinvestment in certain areas.

Some key highlights from the ARPA obligations include $46 million for repaving and calming 30 miles of arterial streets, $23.9 million for a new 911 Dispatch Center, $22 million for affordable housing production, $20 million for citywide housing development, $11.1 million for Healthy Home Repairs, $10.9 million for replacing fire trucks, $3.4 million for replacing SLMPD patrol/scout vehicles, and $2.2 million for replacing ambulances.

With all ARPA funds now obligated before the deadline, Mayor Jones is excited about St. Louis's bright future ahead and how these investments will positively impact its residents' lives.
