~ St. Louis residents are invited to participate in the final open house for the Baden and North Pointe neighborhood plan on Tuesday, April 21. The event will take place at the Walnut Park Library from 4 to 7 p.m. and community members are welcome to attend at any point during the event.
The open house will feature interactive stations where attendees can review and provide feedback on the draft neighborhood plan. This plan covers a variety of topics including housing and vacancy, economic development, arts, culture and community, sustainability and resilience, public space, architecture and design, as well as transportation and mobility.
The draft recommendations for Baden and North Pointe have been shaped by extensive community engagement and outreach over the past year. City Planning Executive Jonathan Roper expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between residents, community partners, and city staff in creating this plan.

Roper stated, "This neighborhood plan reflects the strength and commitment of Baden and North Pointe, where wonderful residents and neighbors, mission-driven community partners and dedicated City staff have come together to shape a shared vision for the future."
The draft neighborhood plan is available online for review. Physical copies can also be found at the Baden and Walnut Park libraries. Public comments are being collected through an online survey.
In addition to the open house on April 21st, there will also be a Planning Commission public hearing on May 13th at North Park United Methodist Church. The purpose of this hearing is to consider adopting the plan. Residents are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts about the plan during this public hearing.
The Baden and North Pointe neighborhood plan aims to unlock untapped opportunities in these communities while setting a clear path forward for investment, growth, and long-term success. With input from community members, this plan has been carefully crafted to reflect their vision for their neighborhoods' future.
