~ Starting November 4, 2024, St. Louis City Municipal Court will be resuming in-person court dates in Court 2 and Court 3. This decision was made in light of the improving COVID-19 situation and the need to resume normal court proceedings.

According to the court's press release, beginning January 2, 2025, most court dates in all divisions of the St. Louis City Municipal Court will also be held in person. This means that defendants will be required to physically attend their court hearings at the courthouse located at 1520 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63104.

The press release also stated that virtual court dates will only be scheduled upon written request and with good cause shown. These requests must also be approved by a judge before a virtual appearance can be granted.

For those who have received traffic citations, Metro fare violation citations, or citations from police officers, the Division number on the front of their citation will determine whether their first court date is in person or virtual. If the Division number is between 1-4, the first court date will be held in person. However, if it is V1-V4, it will be a virtual appearance.

Defendants who have received non-traffic charges by mail can find their assigned courtroom on the top right side of their citation. They can also look up their case on CaseNet for more information.

In case of any questions or concerns, defendants can contact the court's customer service line at (314) 622-3231 or visit the Customer Service window at Suite 1120 in the courthouse. The court urges everyone to follow these guidelines and attend their assigned court dates accordingly.
