~ On Thursday, June 13, 2024, Avelo Airlines launched a new nonstop service from St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) to Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Southern Connecticut. The inaugural flight departed from STL's Terminal 1/Concourse A - Gate A15 at 10:45 a.m.

Members of the media were invited to attend the gate event and potential aircraft tour by contacting STL's Roger Lotz by Tuesday, June 11. In order to attend, media personnel were required to provide their name as it appears on their driver's license, date of birth, driver's license number (including the state that issued it), and gender. This information was used to generate a guest pass for security clearance.

Media personnel were instructed to arrive at the airport and park at Door 6 no later than 10 a.m. Upon arrival, they were asked to call Roger Lotz at the provided mobile number with their vehicle's description and license plate information in order to park at the designated location. Those going through security to reach the gate were given their guest pass by STL's PR Department and were required to display their driver's license to TSA.

The new nonstop service between STL and HVN is expected to provide convenient travel options for passengers traveling between St. Louis and Southern Connecticut. Avelo Airlines is committed to expanding its routes and providing affordable air travel options for its customers.
