~ The Birthplace of Route 66 Festival is set to return to downtown Springfield on August 8th and 9th, promising a weekend filled with live music, parades, car and motorcycle shows, exhibits, food, and shopping. This highly anticipated two-day celebration of the iconic Mother Road draws in over 65,000 visitors each year.

In order to ensure the success of this event, organizers are currently seeking more than 100 volunteers to assist with various tasks. These roles include manning information and merchandise tents, helping with registration for the classic car parade and show, and supporting activities in the Motorcycle Village and entertainment areas.
