~ A carjacking suspect has been apprehended in Iowa, according to an update from the Springfield Police Department. The suspect, who remains unidentified, was wanted in connection with a carjacking that took place on April 30, 2022 at a Kum & Go gas station on E. Republic Road in Springfield, Missouri.
The stolen vehicle, a dark blue 2011 Chevy Impala with Missouri license plate GE2D3G, was reported to have a large dent on the driver-side rear door and possibly missing its license plate. However, stickers on the rear window were still intact.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the stolen vehicle to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 417-869-8477 or p3tips.com.
A photo of the suspect and the victim's vehicle have been released by the police department in hopes of gathering more information from the public.
