Springfield, Mo. ~ On October 22, deputies from the Webster County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Springfield Police Department and the Greene County Sheriff's Office's K9 Unit, apprehended 20-year-old Zachary Degraffenreid in Rogersville. Degraffenreid was arrested on a warrant related to an assault that occurred at Club Rodeo on October 19.
According to reports, officers from the Springfield Police Department responded to a shooting at 2032 W. Bennett St. at 12:21 a.m. on October 19. Upon arrival, they found a woman who had been shot and she was immediately transported to the hospital with serious injuries. However, she is currently in stable condition.

The suspect, Degraffenreid, had fled the scene before officers arrived and was not located at the time of the shooting. The case was presented to the Greene County Prosecutor's office on October 20 and Degraffenreid has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon. He is currently being held without bond.
Detectives are continuing to investigate this incident and are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Springfield Police Department or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
The Greene County Prosecutor's Office reminds everyone that the charges against Degraffenreid are only allegations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
