~ On Saturday afternoon, Springfield Police Officers responded to a call regarding a male subject who was found unresponsive at 1720 N. Jefferson. The call was made by a 911 caller at approximately 4:10 p.m. Upon arriving at the location, officers discovered the victim, identified as 56-year-old Paul D. Biggs, in a gazebo. Despite attempts by both officers and EMS to revive him, Biggs was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Springfield Police Department has notified the next-of-kin for the victim and an autopsy will be conducted by the Greene County Medical Examiner's Office. Detectives are currently investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the Springfield Police Department or make an anonymous call to CrimeStoppers.
At this time, no further details have been released about the circumstances surrounding Biggs' death. The community is asked to remain vigilant and report any information that may be helpful in this investigation.
