~ Restore SGF, a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing Springfield, is looking for a permanent executive director. The board of directors hopes to begin interviewing candidates before the holidays and have the position filled by mid-January 2024.

Richard Ollis, chair of the Restore SGF executive committee, said that interim executive director Dana Elwell has done an excellent job in getting Restore SGF off the ground and will help with the transition to a permanent director. Elwell has been serving as interim executive director since July.

The executive director will provide leadership and management in carrying out the purpose and policies of Restore SGF as established by the board of directors and guided by neighborhood revitalization plans. They will be responsible for overseeing administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization, as well as marketing and community outreach.

The ideal candidate should have an understanding of community/regional issues and knowledge of philanthropy, fundraising, and strategic planning. They should also be successful in prospecting, cultivating and building collaborative partnerships along with strong organizational skills and excellent time management skills.
