~ The Citizens Advisory Committee for Community Development (CACCD) has announced that they will be holding a public hearing on the fiscal year 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). The hearing will take place at 6 p.m. on September 23rd in the 2 West conference room of the Busch Municipal Building located at 840 N. Boonville Ave.

According to the press release, the CACCD is required to develop and publish the CAPER on a yearly basis in order to report how federal funds from the Community Development Block Grant and HOME programs were utilized to address the goals and strategies outlined in their Consolidated Plan for the previous program year, which ran from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. This report is mandated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and provides an annual account of how these federal funds were allocated towards projects outlined in the City's five-year Consolidated Plan.

In accordance with ADA guidelines, individuals who require special accommodations when attending this meeting are asked to notify the Planning & Development Department at 417-864-1037 as soon as possible to ensure their needs can be met. Additionally, language assistance is available in accordance with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) guidelines.

After the meeting, there will be an opportunity for any person or organization wishing to comment on the CAPER to do so. The report will be available for public review and comment from September 11th to September 25th both online and in paper form at the offices of the City's Planning and Development Department located in the Busch Municipal Building, as well as at any Springfield-Greene County Library branch within city limits.
