Springfield, Mo. – On Nov. 12, 2025, at 11:21 p.m., Springfield police officers responded to a shooting at 505 E. Saint Louis.
Officers found the victim, Xavier Scott, 21, from Springfield, with a gunshot wound. Scott died at the scene and his family has been notified.
A suspect was identified and taken into custody.
Detectives continue to investigate and ask anyone with additional information about this incident to call the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477) or online at p3tips.com.
