Springfield, Mo. ~ On Friday, October 3, 2025, a tragic accident occurred in Springfield, Missouri. At approximately 7:49 p.m., officers from the Springfield Police Department were called to the scene of a crash at the intersection of Kearney and West Bypass.
According to reports, Aubrey Rodriguez, a 38-year-old resident of Willard, was driving a 2016 Chevy Cruze northbound on West Bypass when she struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian was identified as Andrew Herr, a 44-year-old from Springfield. Herr was in the roadway just north of Kearney when he was hit by Rodriguez's vehicle.

Herr sustained serious injuries and was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment. However, on October 8th, the Greene County Medical Examiner's Office informed the Springfield Police Department that Herr had passed away. His family has been notified of his death.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477) or online at p3tips.com.
Sadly, this incident marks Springfield's 17th motor vehicle crash of the year and has resulted in its 18th fatality. The community is urged to stay vigilant while driving and to always prioritize safety on the roads.
