Springfield, Mo. ~ On the evening of November 14, a tragic two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Kellett Avenue and Talmage Street in Springfield, Missouri. According to reports from the Springfield Police Department, officers were called to the scene at 6:04 p.m.
The crash involved a gold 1997 Buick Century driven by a juvenile with passenger Matthew Hill, 34, both from Springfield. The other vehicle was a white 2003 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Nicholas Brady, 22, also from Springfield, with passenger Jayde Campbell, 22.
Investigations revealed that while traveling south on Kellett Avenue, the juvenile failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with Brady's westbound vehicle. The impact caused Brady's Chevrolet S-10 to roll over and come to rest on its side.

Tragically, Campbell did not survive the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been notified of her passing. Hill, Brady, and the juvenile were all transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Springfield Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash. Anyone with information is urged to contact them at 417-864-1810 or through their tips hotline at 417-869-TIPS.
This incident marks Springfield's 21st fatal motor vehicle crash of the year in 2024. Our thoughts go out to all those affected by this tragedy as authorities continue their investigation.
