Springfield, Mo. ~ Springfield, Mo. - After a public plea for assistance, the Springfield Police Department has confirmed that 2-year-old Arukia Ganis has been safely located. The child was reported missing earlier today and was believed to be in danger.

According to authorities, Arukia Ganis was in the custody of the State of Missouri and was last seen at Wonders of Wildlife with her parents, 36-year-old Frank Ganis and 33-year-old Arisha Caldwell. The couple was captured on camera leaving Bass Pro with their daughter through an exit facing Campbell Ave at approximately 11:22 a.m.

Following an extensive search, both Frank Ganis and Arisha Caldwell were taken into custody by law enforcement. It is unclear at this time what charges they may face.

The parents were believed to have left the scene in a silver Mercedes SUV with a Vermont license plate number HFL245. Frank Ganis is described as being 6 feet tall and weighing 190 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Caldwell is described as being 5-foot-1 and weighing 120 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes.
