Springfield, Mo. ~ On June 3, 2025, the United States Marshals Service arrested 21-year-old Arshaun Bradley in Lake County, Illinois for the murder of Chaviz Nguyen. Bradley, a resident of Springfield, Missouri, was wanted for the November 14, 2023 shooting that resulted in Nguyen's death.
The case was presented to the Greene County Prosecutor's office on April 11, 2024. Bradley is facing charges of first-degree murder, four counts of armed criminal action, first-degree assault, and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon. He will be held without bond.
However, the Greene County Prosecutor's Office has reminded the public that these charges are merely allegations and that Bradley is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
This arrest comes after another suspect in Nguyen's murder was apprehended earlier this year. On March 30, 2025, Quartze "Quartez" Washington was arrested in Danville, Illinois for his involvement in the shooting. Washington is also from Springfield and was charged with first-degree murder, four counts of armed criminal action, first-degree assault, and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon. He is currently being held without bond.
