Springfield, Mo. – On June 23, 2025, at 11:55 p.m., officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Kearney Street and U.S. Highway 65.
Lori Alsup, 46, from Springfield, was traveling eastbound on Kearney Street, across the overpass of U.S. Highway 65, in a 1997 Toyota Camry. Near the northbound exit ramp of U.S. Highway 65, Alsup hit a pedestrian who was crossing Kearney. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with serious injuries where he later died. The pedestrian's next of kin has not yet been located.
