~ Springfield, MO - The Springfield Police Department responded to a fatal three-vehicle crash on June 14 at approximately 2:36 p.m. near the intersection of James River Expressway and Farm Road 115. According to authorities, two eastbound vehicles collided, causing both vehicles to lose control. One of the vehicles then crossed the grassy median and was struck by a westbound vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle that crossed the median has been identified as 32-year-old Matthew White from Springfield. White was transported to Cox South Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The incident is currently under investigation and White's next of kin has been notified.
This tragic accident marks the eighth fatal crash in Springfield this year. With summer travel season in full swing, authorities are urging all drivers to exercise caution on the roads and arrive safely at their destinations.
