ST. LOUIS, April 1, 2024 ~ Spire Inc. (NYSE: SR) has announced the addition of a new member to its board of directors, effective April 1, 2024. Sheri S. Cook, 56, has been elected as the newest member of the board, increasing its size from 9 members to 10.

Cook brings a wealth of experience to the board, having served as senior vice president and chief administration officer at Altec Inc., a leading provider of products and services to utility and telecommunications markets based in Birmingham, AL. In this role, she oversees human resources, information services, and administration for the Altec/Styslinger Foundation.

Prior to her current position at Altec Inc., Cook held various roles in economics and finance at companies such as Sonat Inc. and Protective Life Corp. She also co-founded and served as managing partner for Kinetic Partners, LLC, an energy project management, consulting, and investment firm.

Cook is a summa cum laude graduate from Vanderbilt University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and classical studies. She also holds two graduate degrees - a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia's Colgate Darden School of Business and a Master of Accounting from the University of Alabama-Birmingham's Collat School of Business.

In addition to her professional achievements, Cook is actively involved in her community. She serves on numerous boards including the United Way of Central Alabama, McWane Science Center Endowment, Ascension St. Vincent's Foundation Endowment, and UAB Heersink School of Medicine Board of Visitors. She has also previously served on the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women executive leadership team, Momentum Board, and YWCA of Central Alabama Board.

With her extensive experience and dedication to community involvement, Cook is a valuable addition to Spire's board of directors. The company looks forward to her contributions in shaping its future growth and success.
