The City of Springfield's "Clean Green Springfield" initiative continues this weekend with a "point of pride" cleanup event at Fassnight Creek Saturday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to noon. A focal point along the future Grant Avenue Parkway route, Fassnight Creek nearby Parkview High School, Fassnight Greenway Trail and Fassnight Park needs some TLC!

PARKING: Parking is available at Fassnight Park, 1305 S. Campbell.

Come to clean up and leave with a treasure!
Thanks to the Watershed Natives program through the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks, participants at all Point of Pride events will be offered a free native plant upon completion of the cleanup. Native plants are integral to soil health, pollinator and wildlife habitat, erosion prevention, biodiversity and nutrient runoff reduction. They are beautiful and functional! Available while supplies last.
