~ Springfield, 2025 - The Clean Green Springfield initiative is making a comeback this year, marking its fifth anniversary of promoting community cleanups and connectedness. What started as a simple litter and beautification project in 2021 has now evolved into a city-wide effort with a series of cleanup activities planned for the months of April and May.
Led by the City of Springfield and various partners, the official launch of Clean Green Springfield will take place at 9 a.m. at the C-Street Market Pavilion. Mayor Ken McClure and other officials will be present to kick off the initiative and open registration for volunteers interested in participating in the cleanup and greenup events throughout spring.
