(COLUMBIA, MO) - Members of the public are invited to join Columbia Mayor Barbara Buffaloe and Jefferson City Mayor Carrie Tergin for the Mayors' Trail Ride: Connecting Communities Saturday, June 4. Mayor Buffaloe and Mayor Tergin will both host one-way, guided bike rides to Hartsburg, MO.

Mayor Buffaloe will lead a group of cyclists on a bike ride, starting in Columbia, along the MKT Trail and Katy Trail State Park to Hartsburg, where they will meet a group of cyclists from Jefferson City led by Mayor Tergin.

Riders in Columbia have two starting options:
  • 10 a.m. at Jay Dix Station, 3775 S. Scott Blvd. (20.5 miles to Hartsburg)
  • 10:30 a.m. at McBaine, Katy Trail State Park Trailhead, W Route K (16 miles to Hartsburg)
Once everyone arrives in Hartsburg, and following a few words from both Mayors Buffaloe and Tergin, cyclists will be invited to join them for lunch at The Burg. Lunch will be available for purchase.

Following lunch, cyclists can ride their bikes back to their respective starting points or arrange to have someone pick them up on their own.
