~ Springfield Mayor Ken McClure has released a holiday message, reflecting on the city's progress in 2024 and sharing his hopes for the upcoming year. In a video posted on the City of Springfield's website and social media channels, Mayor McClure expressed his gratitude for the residents who contribute to the city's vitality.
"I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for each of you who make our city such a special place to live, work, and grow," said Mayor McClure.
The video highlighted some of Springfield's accomplishments in 2024, including economic growth, public safety enhancements, and environmental projects such as the Clean Green Springfield campaign, Lake Springfield Plan, and Renew Jordan Creek development. Mayor McClure emphasized that these initiatives were made possible through collaboration and dedication from the community.

"Together, we've laid the groundwork for even brighter days ahead," said Mayor McClure as visuals of community events and city improvements underscored his message.
He concluded by encouraging residents to continue building on the city's momentum by fostering connections and serving others during the holiday season. "Let's make 2025 our best year yet!" he added.
