With subzero temperatures hitting the metro over the weekend, the City of Kansas City is responding with their Extreme Weather Plan and offering shelter and warmth to those in need. Parks & Recreation Community Centers are open across the city to help people stay indoors.

While Community Centers will offer a location for individuals to be out of the cold, they do not offer food, beds, or services. These resources are offered through Zero KC's Extreme Weather Plan.

KCATA OPERATIONS: KCATA offers Zero Fare transit throughout the City to ensure people can reach their destination safely. Use your KCATA Transit App to track delays, visit RideKC.org or call (816) 221-0660.

STREETCAR OPERATIONS: The KC Streetcar will operate with regular Monday & Tuesday hours of 6:00 a.m. – Midnight unless conditions deteriorate, and it is unsafe to operate. For more information on Streetcar operations click here.

Thank you to all our partners across the City who are tirelessly working to help those in need. We are already seeing the positive effects of your hard work. Your efforts show the true welcoming and loving spirit of Kansas City.

ZERO KC RESOURCES:

Zero KC resources offer shelter, beds, food, and resources.
