Hollywood Ferrari sold to Las Vegas based movie producer and restaurateur
ST. LOUIS - Missouriar -- Daniel Schmitt & Co. Classic Car Gallery in St. Louis announces it is acquired and sold a piece of a Hollywood legend, a rare 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 Coupe by Pininfarina formerly owned by film and television icon Sylvester Stallone.
The purchaser of the vehicle is Nico Santucci, a movie director, producer and restaurateur, best known for directing the film Sarogeto. He is the owner of Capo's restaurant in Las Vegas. The vehicle sold for the asking price of $229,900.
The Ferrari has a long history in Hollywood circles. Originally completed in 1972 it was purchased by the famed talent agent Michael Ovitz, once considered the most powerful man in show business. Ovitz co-founded the industry-leading Creative Artists Agency (CAA) handling many A-list talents including Steven Spielberg, Madonna, Tom Cruise, and Stallone. The Rocky star purchased the vehicle from Ovitz in the mid-1980s and later sold it in the late 1990s.

Schmitt recently purchased the vehicle, one of only 505 365 GTC/4 Coupes produced worldwide. "It was a real find with only 41,603 actual miles," Daniel Schmitt said. "The car has a stunning triple black color combination with a Nero leather interior. It is fitted with nearly every available option including instruments in miles, power steering, power windows, and air conditioning. The Ferrari has been meticulously maintained and drives and performs like new."
"We are excited Mr. Santucci has purchased the vehicle, remaining in the family of Hollywood and movie producers," added Schmitt. "Overall, the 365 GTC/4 represents a historically undervalued Ferrari rapidly gaining recognition for its heritage and sublime character."
