(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia's Fifth and Walnut Parking Garage and Short Street Parking Garage will be closing their top floors to all vehicular traffic and parking starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, November 4th. This annual closure is part of the city's winter operations plan, with the goal of keeping the top levels clear for snow events. To ensure compliance, chains and cones will be placed to prevent vehicle access.

According to Parking Utility staff, there will still be sufficient spaces available for both hourly and permit customers on the lower levels. The top floors are expected to reopen for parking on Monday, March 24th, 2025, weather permitting.
The City of Columbia would like to thank all patrons for their cooperation during this time. This temporary closure is necessary for the safety and efficiency of winter operations in the city's parking facilities.
