(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia's newest art exhibit at The Shops at Sharp End is showcasing the work of three talented local artists. The exhibit, which is the first of its kind at the shopping center, was made possible through an open call to artists organized by the City of Columbia's Office of Cultural Affairs.
After a thorough selection process, Ja'Licia Gainer, Ni Kang, and Ginger Cawley were chosen to display their artwork in a variety of mediums. Gainer's oil paintings focus on nature, human figures, and abstract elements while Kang utilizes an ancient Chinese water and ink painting technique. Cawley, from Bucket Emporium, has prints of her detailed micron pen drawings available for purchase.
The exhibit will be on display at The Shops at Sharp End through October and all featured works are available for purchase on site. This collaboration between the City's Office of Cultural Affairs and The Shops at Sharp End aims to support and promote local artists while also providing a diverse range of artwork for visitors to enjoy.
