(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ The City of Columbia Solid Waste Utility has announced that they will be grinding yard waste materials at the Parkside and Capen Park drop-off sites. This process is scheduled to take place on specific dates in order to ensure efficient operations and the safety of users at the facility.
According to the current schedule, the Landfill yard waste site located at 5700 Peabody Rd. will be open from March 16-19. During this time, all drop-off sites will be open to the public.
However, on March 20 and March 23, the Parkside location at 1001 Parkside Drive will be closed for grinding. Customers are advised to use either the Landfill or Capen Park sites during this time.

Similarly, on March 24-25, the Capen Park location at 1900 Capen Park Drive will be closed for grinding. Customers are directed to use either the Landfill or Parkside sites instead.
To ensure that customers are aware of these closures, signage will be posted at both Capen Park and Parkside locations. The signs will direct customers to either the other in-town park location or to the Landfill.
It is important to note that this schedule is subject to change as work progresses by the vendor responsible for performing the grinding activities. The City of Columbia Solid Waste Utility urges residents to stay updated on any potential adjustments.
