(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - Cook Concrete, the contractor for the City of Columbia Public Works department, will begin repairing ADA-compliant curb ramps on Monday, June 23 at 7 a.m. The repairs will take place at two locations: the southwest corner of East Walnut Street and North Sixth Street, and the southeast corner of East Ash Street and North Eighth Street.
Due to the construction, temporary sidewalk closures will be in effect at both locations. Additionally, several metered parking spaces on the south side of East Ash Street between North Fifth and North Sixth Streets will be closed during this time.

To ensure the safety of pedestrians, signage will be posted to inform them of the closures and guide them to alternate routes. The contractor will also make every effort to maintain pedestrian access near the work zones.
Weather permitting, all work is expected to be completed by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25. The City of Columbia urges residents to plan accordingly and use caution when traveling in these areas during construction.
