(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia's Public Works department has announced that Watson Concrete will begin reconstruction of the sidewalk ramp at the intersection of East Broadway and South Second Street on Monday, Feb. 23 at 7 a.m. The project is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, weather permitting.

According to the contractors, the work will require a temporary closure of the sidewalk at the intersection. Pedestrians are advised to use alternate routes and follow signs directing them to cross at Providence Road or Garth Avenue.

In addition, the Go COMO Red Route bus stop located at East Broadway and South Second Street will be temporarily relocated approximately 40 feet west of its current location. Commuters are encouraged to stay updated on any changes through the messages tab on the ETA SPOT app or Go COMO's social media channels.

The City of Columbia urges residents and visitors to exercise caution in this area during construction and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
