(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ The City of Columbia Sewer Utility is hosting a public information meeting to discuss a proposed sewer improvement project in the area near Forest Hill Court and Ridge Road. The meeting will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, in Conference Room 1A/1B at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.
The project is part of the Utility's Private Common Collector Elimination project, which began in 2008. The goal of the project is to replace privately maintained sewers with public sanitary sewers in order to reduce the occurrence of backups and overflows into the sewer system.

At the meeting, stakeholders will have the opportunity to review preliminary plans, ask questions, make comments and complete a public comment form. Public comments can also be submitted online at BeHeard.CoMo.gov through Nov. 22.
