(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia's Stormwater Utility has announced the closure of Vandiver Drive to through traffic between Sylvan Lane and Nelwood Drive, starting on Monday, Aug. 11. The closure is expected to last until Oct. 31, depending on weather conditions.
The purpose of this closure is to replace eight stormwater inlets and existing pipes with 10 new inlets, six stormwater structures, and approximately 2,080 feet of new stormwater pipe. This project aims to prevent flooding in the area by draining excess water into a regional detention basin.
