(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Regional Airport (COU) has recently announced the opening of a new market in their terminal, called Tailwinds Market. This exciting addition offers travelers a variety of upgraded food and beverage options when flying out of COU. Utilizing innovative technology from Amazon, customers can make purchases quickly and easily by swiping a credit or debit card or using a pay app on their cell phone.
According to COU Airport Manager Michael Parks, this new offering is part of their commitment to providing an easy and convenient experience for passengers. "We take pride in making flying from COU a hassle-free experience," stated Parks. "With this upgraded market, our passengers not only save time by choosing to fly local, but also have access to the amenities they desire while traveling."

Tailwinds Market offers a wide range of options including sandwiches, salads, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ice cream, sunglasses, phone chargers, personal care items, and fresh-made coffee. In addition to these offerings, there is also a comfortable seating area with TVs and free Wi-Fi for departing passengers. The market is conveniently located near the gates for easy access.
The market is operated by Jackson Brothers, a refreshment services provider in the mid-Missouri area. Jackson Brothers currently operates vending at the airport and has expanded their partnership by upgrading the food and beverage services in the terminal.
"We are thrilled to be opening this new location at the airport," said Billy Dearing, general manager of Jackson Brothers. "We are passionate about meeting the needs of our customers with unique offerings and elevating the experience for those flying from COU."
