(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia's Stormwater Utility has announced an upcoming meeting for interested parties to discuss a proposed stormwater infrastructure improvement project near Braemore Road. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Conference Room 1B at City Hall.
The proposed project aims to address known stormwater drainage issues in the area by adding additional inlets and pipes. It also includes plans for rehabilitating existing stormwater infrastructure on Fairview Road and potentially incorporating stormwater management features such as swales and underdrains. However, one aspect of the proposal that may cause concern is the potential curb bumpout on Summit Road, which would improve capacity of a nearby stormwater inlet but also narrow the width of Summit Road.
