(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ The City of Columbia Water Utility has announced an upcoming public meeting to discuss a proposal for a new water tower in southwest Columbia. The meeting will take place on Thursday, December 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. at City Hall's Conference Room 1A/1B.
According to the Water Utility, the construction of a new water tower is necessary in order to maintain reliable service for their customers. The proposed location for the tower is on Beulah Ralph Elementary property near Thornbrook Parkway, which would improve water distribution infrastructure and enhance service for residents in the area.
During the open house-style meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to review preliminary plans, ask questions, and provide comments. A public comment form will also be available for those who wish to submit their feedback. Additionally, public comments can be submitted online at BeHeard.CoMo.gov until January 2.
