(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Parks and Recreation is seeking input from the community on the construction of a new Community Welcome Center at Clary-Shy Community Park. The department will be hosting an interested parties meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the MU Health Care Pavilion located at 1769 W. Ash St.

During the drop-in meeting, Parks and Recreation staff will present the proposed plans for the center and be available to answer any questions from the public. They will also be gathering feedback from citizens on their thoughts and suggestions for the project. The Community Welcome Center will be operated in partnership with the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture and will include a commercial kitchen, resource library, event space, and offices.
