(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police responded to a shots-fired call on March 4th at approximately 3:48 p.m. in the area of Allen and Bryant Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim with a gunshot wound and immediately provided emergency medical care. Sadly, the victim, identified as 20-year-old William Riechers of Columbia, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.
The criminal investigations division is currently working on this homicide and is urging anyone with information to come forward. This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652 or CrimeStoppers at 573.875.8477.
