(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police responded to reports of shots fired in the early hours of June 8th in the 800 block of East Walnut Street. The incident occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. and resulted in minor injuries to one victim. With the assistance of the University of Missouri Police Department, officers were able to locate the victim and provide immediate medical attention on site.
In addition to the injured victim, three vehicles were also damaged by gunfire. At this time, there are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing. The Columbia Police Department is urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward and contact them at 573.874.7652.
