(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ In the early hours of April 13, a Columbia Police officer witnessed a shooting in the 900 block of East Broadway. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. and prompted multiple agencies to respond to the downtown area.

Upon arrival, officers discovered one man with a gunshot wound who was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment. Shortly after, a second gunshot victim arrived at another local hospital. Both victims are reported to be in stable condition.

As the investigation unfolded, two juvenile males were taken into custody by officers. The investigation is still ongoing and charges are pending.

The Columbia Police Department expressed their gratitude for the assistance provided by various agencies including the Missouri State Highway Patrol, University of Missouri Police Department, Boone County Sheriff's Office, and Ashland Police Department during this incident.

Authorities have urged anyone with information about this incident to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652 or CrimeStoppers at 573.875.8477 to provide information anonymously. A cash reward of up to $2,500 may be given for any information that leads to an arrest.
