(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia police were called to the scene of a carjacking in the early hours of August 31st. According to a press release from the Columbia Police Department, officers responded to a report of a carjacking at approximately 1:53 a.m. in the 1000 block of Elleta Blvd.
The victim, a male rideshare driver, told officers that he had been attacked by two men when they reached their agreed-upon destination. The suspects then stole the victim's 2010 silver Toyota Corolla with Missouri license plate EK0 N9M.
The victim described one suspect as a Black male wearing a brown shirt and the other as a Black male wearing a black shirt and black coat. Despite an extensive search by night shift officers, the vehicle and suspects could not be located.

Day shift officers are now working to retrieve and review video footage from local businesses in hopes of determining the suspects' direction of travel and gathering any other pertinent investigative details.
This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact the Columbia Police Department at 573.874.7652. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call CrimeStoppers at 573.875.8477. A cash reward of up to $2,500 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
