(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police are currently investigating a fire incident that occurred on June 15 in the 1500 block of Paris Road. According to reports, at approximately 11:45 p.m., authorities responded to an assist fire call and discovered that an unknown assailant had set fire to the porch and an adult victim.
The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, there was only minor damage to the property caused by the fire. The suspect is believed to have fled the scene on a bicycle towards College Avenue and was last seen wearing a hat and a white t-shirt.

Based on witness descriptions, the possible suspect is described as a white male with brown hair and a mustache, aged between 35-40 years old, standing at approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build.
