(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Jan. 27, leaving one male injured. The incident took place at approximately 9:42 a.m. in the area of Providence Road and Nebraska Avenue, following a report of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound and immediately transported him to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Further investigation revealed that the shooting actually took place in the 2600 block of Mayflower Drive. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
The Columbia Police Department is urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward and contact them at 573.874.7652. For those who wish to remain anonymous, they can call CrimeStoppers at 573.875.8477. If any information provided leads to an arrest, there is a possibility of receiving a cash reward of up to $2,500.
