Columbia Police responded to a report of a robbery that occurred at Midwest Petroleum, 101 Nifong Blvd., on Sunday, Oct. 10 at approximately 2:50 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that a male entered the business, demanding money while brandishing a handgun. The employee complied, handing the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was described as a male, approximately 5'8", wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.  He reportedly was seen leaving the area in a later model Nissan Sentra. There is no further description to provide.
