(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police have detained two juveniles in connection with the attempted theft of multiple vehicles in the early hours of Jan. 17. The incident occurred in the area of North Cedar Lake Drive and Southampton Drive, with at least eight vehicles being targeted.
The juveniles, whose names have not been released due to their age, are facing charges of first-degree attempted tampering, first-degree property damage, stealing, resisting arrest, and armed criminal action. They were taken into custody on Jan. 18 and are currently being held at a juvenile detention center.
