(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1000 block of West Boulevard on the evening of February 1st. Upon arrival, officers found Corey Bilger, 33, with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital by EMS but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The victim's next of kin has been notified.

According to witnesses at the scene, the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Seth Brinegar, was still present. Brinegar was immediately taken into custody and is facing charges of second-degree murder, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.
