(COLUMBIA, MO) - Columbia Police have arrested Justin Wayne Owen, 36, of Columbia, for first degree burglary and fourth degree domestic assault.

On May 11 at approximately 12 a.m. Columbia Police responded to a report of an assault with a weapon in the 500 block of Clinkscales Road.

Upon arrival, officers found two individuals at the residence and were told that a third individual who had sustained a gunshot wound had left. After further investigation, officers located the injured individual nearby and identified him as Owen.

Owen was transported by EMS to a local hospital in stable condition and was subsequently released after treatment.

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Department's Criminal Investigations Division. More information may become available at a later time.
