(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing that occurred on May 4 in the 4500 block of Rice Road. Dariell Deshell Smith, 33, of Columbia, has been taken into custody and charged with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.
According to police reports, officers responded to a call about a stabbing at approximately 2:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found that Smith had allegedly assaulted an adult male victim with a knife during a domestic disturbance. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the attack and is currently in stable condition.
