(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia, MO - The City of Columbia Public Works department has announced that Capital Paving, their contracted contractors, will be conducting pavement maintenance on several residential streets starting at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9th. The maintenance will involve mill and overlay work and will primarily take place on streets near Ashland Road.
The following streets will be affected by the maintenance work: Canyon Drive from Caniff Circle to the west end of the street, Mizzou Place from Caniff Circle to the end of the street, Caniff Circle from Ashland Road to the south end of the street, Ashland Road from South College Avenue to East Stadium Boulevard, and Ashland Road from East Stadium Boulevard to the south end of the street.
According to officials, crews will be working daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in order to complete the maintenance as efficiently as possible. In preparation for the work, "no parking" signs will be posted at least 24 hours in advance on streets where parking is allowed. It is advised that residents avoid parking in these areas during working hours.

Temporary lane closures will also be necessary during this time. To ensure safety for motorists and pedestrians, traffic control signs and flaggers will be present to guide them through work zones as needed. Drivers and pedestrians are urged to use caution while traveling through these areas and consider taking alternate routes if possible.
